Hopeful cat mom encounters friendly 'not my cat' outside her home, she wants to take them home but the husband says no, the internet intervenes on behalf of the feline: ‘I have unlocked a new chamber in my heart’

If we had a nickel for every time a husband or father said no to getting a cat and then fell in love with it after exactly 0.5 seconds, we would be a millionaire. Well, maybe not a millionaire, but we would probably have close to $100. We think that cats are a great addition to every family (we may be a bit biased on this, but who cares), and in our experience, the dads always come around. They always do. Even the orneriest dads end up napping with the cat after a few days. 

And we all know that once the CDS comes knocking on your door, you can do nothing but answer. When this wholesomely sweet 'not my cat' showed up at this hopeful cat mom's door, she went to the internet to confirm what she was hoping was true: is it a sign? Should she sweep this cat off its paws, give it a bath, and then smother it with love? The answer is yes, even if the husband says no. Read the full story below!

  • It is 100% a sign. Well, not really so much of a sign as fate. This cat is yours now, and you really don't have much say in the matter - the cat already decided for you. If it keeps coming back, the signs will keep getting more and more obvious until before you know it, the cat has its own spot on the couch and you're hand-feeding it tuna.

    That means it is very unlikely that she has an owner, or she is long lost or abandoned. Which means you have a cat!

    Get flea treatment on her NOW, or she will bring fleas into your home. Then get her bathed (consider paying a professional to do this). Vet check, shots, spay, CHIP, etc.

    loveofGod12345 15h ago . So many people are not reading your caption lol. Our neighbors cat went from notmycat, to part time cat, to nowmycat in about 4 months. She was also taken care of by my neighbor more than this cat. It's possible that the neighbor will give her to you in the end.

    I would verbally th her with a bath. She never took me seriously. My husband and I tried to bathe her 1 time. She clawed us and jumped out of the sink, dripping water everywhere. We never tried to bathe her after almost being ki d.
